FEMET zainwestował ostatnio w nową 6-osiową obrabiarkę CNC Ibarmia ZMS STAR
Rozwijamy park maszynowy FEMET, inwestując w nowoczesną, 6-osiową obrabiarkę CNC Ibarmia ZMS STAR. Nowa maszyna zwiększy nasze możliwości w zakresie precyzyjnej obróbki metali, realizacji większych elementów oraz wykonywania bardziej złożonych detali zgodnie z dokumentacją techniczną klienta.
The purchase of the machine tool is the next stage in FEMET’s development and a response to the needs of companies seeking a contractor capable of handling both single parts and prototypes, as well as repeatable production series.
A new CNC machine in the FEMET machine park
Ibarmia ZMS STAR is a machine tool equipped with six axes, enabling the implementation of advanced machining processes and working with larger-sized elements.
Large axis travels enable the processing of long and complex components, which can be used in the machine, railway, automotive and construction industries, as well as in production automation systems.

Greater possibilities of processing industrial components
One of the key features of the new machine is the X-axis travel of 3000 mm. Combined with the Y- and Z-axis travel of 800 mm, this enables the production of larger components and more complex industrial components.
For FEMET customers, this means the possibility of ordering the machining of details that, due to their dimensions or complexity, require appropriately adapted machinery.
The new machine tool increases our production capabilities, including:
- parts of machines and devices,
- structural elements,
- components for the railway industry,
- parts used in production automation,
- prototype elements,
- handles, plates and bodies,
- short and repeatable production series,
- details made on the basis of technical documentation.
Six axes and greater production flexibility
The use of six axes increases the range of possible operations and allows for better adaptation of the machining process to the geometry of a specific element.
In practice, this can reduce the need for repeated repositioning and re-clamping of the part. Fewer clamping operations can translate into more efficient process execution, greater repeatability, and a reduced risk of errors resulting from changes in component positioning.
For customers, this means primarily:
- the possibility of implementing more complex projects,
- greater production flexibility,
- more efficient processing of multi-sided elements,
- improving the repeatability of manufactured components,
- optimizing the time needed to produce a detail.
Spindle speed up to 12,000 rpm
The maximum rotational speed of 12,000 rpm allows the selection of cutting parameters for various types of operations and materials being processed.
A properly selected spindle speed is important both when machining larger surfaces and when making precise holes, grooves and more detailed elements.
The machine is equipped with an SK-40 tool holder, commonly used in industrial machining centers.
Storage for 50 tools
Ibarmia ZMS STAR has a warehouse that can hold up to 50 tools. This allows for the preparation of an extensive set of tools needed to perform various operations within a single production process.
A larger number of available tools also means greater flexibility in the production of elements with complex geometry.
Coolant under pressure up to 40 bar
The new machine tool allows for coolant injection at pressures up to 40 bar. Effective cooling of the machining zone is particularly important during intensive cutting processes and drilling deeper holes.
Coolant helps remove heat and chips from the tool’s working area. This can promote process stability, reduce tool wear, and improve surface quality.
Investment in quality, efficiency and development of FEMET
The purchase of the Ibarmia ZMS STAR machine tool is not only an expansion of the company’s existing machinery, but also an investment in the company’s production capabilities, technological development, and further improvement of industrial customer service standards.
The new machine will allow FEMET to undertake more demanding projects, handle larger components, and develop cooperation with companies needing a reliable partner in CNC machining.
At FEMET, we combine CNC machining with TIG and MIG/MAG welding, thanks to which we can complete comprehensive orders including the production of individual parts, welded elements and finished metal structures.
